I had posted my previous blog on prayertime and just barely decided to post it here. I have a great update and one that with prayer has been working marvelously.
My phone never rings before late in the afternoon unless of emergency, so I was very surprise when my phone rang around lunch time. I was even more suprised to hear who was on the other end....Evan.
I hadn't heard from him since I had convinced him to go to Harvest House on Saterday. He told told me that saterday he would leave when the weekend was over. Sunday morning when I got home, there was a message on my phone telling me he was leaving and he thanked me.
Today when talking to him, he sounds like someone I have never met but have always wanted to.
His voice sounded so pure, sweet, soft, and comforting. I can;t help but think there is another miracle happening for my family again. I am so thankful and my family finally can come together not just just for Evan but because of him.
After looking so long, it worried me, that my thoughts were true and he had no where else to go, so instead of being alone, went to a "crackhouse" to atleast be out of the cold and find a way to not be so "alone". I had been to 6 different placed with no luck.
finally, drench, cold and hungry, I stopped at Boston Pizza and had a snack. I asked the server if he knew of a place called the "Boothe House for Men" . He said, he lived down by there, it was on St. James St. He also advised me, that it was no place for a girl to be going alone.
The man's name was Greg, (I will always be greatful). While waiting for my meal he gave me a phone book and a quater. (I am asumming he felt bad for me or thought I was really dumb) I jumped up to use the pay phone. Greg came over and said, "why are you looking for the Boothe House?". I didn't wanna give to much info, so I avoided the question. I simply stated that it was late and I had to use the phone. I was polite, but I knew he was questioning what I was doing, because before I could reach the payphone: he said, " you know that place is only for men right?" I smiled and said "Thanks".
I dialed and it seems like the phone rang forever. Finally I heard a voice.
Almost afraid to ask, it "Evan ****** there". "Not right now", came the response" There was a long pause.
"Has he been there today?"
"Yes, and if he is staying the night here, he will be here in the next 30 mins".
My heart skipped beats. I had found him. Everything has gone through my mind, even to ask myself the question, maybe there is another Evan?
I asked for directions. The man stated there was no visting after 11. I him told that I was from out of town and just had to make sure he was ok. The words please be here before 12 or I can't let you in because I would not be
here, registered so quickly.
I hung up the phone with no goodbye, just I will be there!
Going down through the streets where I was directed seemed so cold, not to mention that it was pouring and hard to see. I looked at the clock 11:21. I decided that I would take the risk and roll my widow down just a crack and ask someone for directions. The hard part was finding someone to ask. Finally I saw a card pulled over letting someone out.
" Excuse me, can you show me how to get to *** James Street?"
"Yes follow me"
He drove around a corner to a place I knew I had passed probably 5 times. He told me this was my destination, just go down the stairs.
I knew I would wait until he left before I would venture getting out.
I got out, wrapping my arms around myself and headed for the stairs. I got to the door and hauled on it. It opened so easy, like a miracle. The man behind a glass boxed looked at me like I was strange. Not realizing that he had every right too. My hair was soaked I had not enougth clothes on, and I was female. I am sure he wanted to ask me if I was looking for a room and to tell me that I was in the wrong place. In stead, he just sat quiet for a few more seconds.
He looked at me again, "you called for Evan?" Yes.
He annouced a a PA system like you would see in a school office.
Finally my searching was done and there he was coming down the stairs. It was my own personal miracle. I found him, Now can I keep him?
I am spening the day with him tomorrow. Please pray all goes well and that I can talk to him about Harvest House and that he will make the commitment to go
Everything stays in my mind feeling in a daze on the ground
Feels like it's gonna give life's to hard to live anymore
I think I've had enough things too tough
I'm out the door
All in all it's just another day now
You're falling down
What you gonna do
Standing on top of the world tonight
No ones looking back at you
Stand tall
It's going on
It's going on
It's gonna be just fine
You're holding on
Holding on today
Things don't stop and the others announced they're moving on
Salt & tears in the minds in the mouths of a bad decision
Too late for another mistake it's bringing me down
With all your faults it isn't your fault
What's going on
All in all it's just another day now
You're falling down
What you gonna do
Standing on top of the world tonight
No ones looking back at you
Stand tall
It's going on
It's going on
It's gonna be just fine
You're holding on
Holding on today
So you lost yourself
So you lost your way
Found life through someone else
But you threw it all away
All in all it's just another day now
You're falling down
What you gonna do
Standing on top of the world tonight
No ones looking back at you
Stand tall
It's going on
It's going on
It's gonna be just fine
You're holding on
Holding on today
Times rolling on
Rolling on today
It's going on
Going on today
Honestly what will become of me
don't like reality
It's way too clear to me
But really life is daily
We are what we don't see
Missed everything daydreaming
[Chorus:]
Flames to dust
Lovers to friends
Why do all good things come to an end
Flames to dust
Lovers to friends
Why do all good things come to an end
come to an end come to an
Why do all good things come to end?
come to an end come to an
Why do all good things come to an end?
Traveling I only stop at exits
Wondering if I'll stay
Young and restless
Living this way I stress less
I want to pull away when the dream dies
The pain sets it and I don't cry
I only feel gravity and I wonder why
Flames to dust
Lovers to friends
Why do all good things come to an end
Flames to dust
Lovers to friends
Why do all good things come to an end
come to an end come to an
Why do all good things come to end?
come to an end come to an
Why do all good things come to an end?
Well the dogs were whistling a new tune
Barking at the new moon
Hoping it would come soon so that they could
Dogs were whistling a new tune
Barking at the new moon
Hoping it would come soon so that they could
Die die die die die
Flames to dust
Lovers to friends
Why do all good things come to an end
Flames to dust
Lovers to friends
Why do all good things come to an end
come to an end come to an
Why do all good things come to end?
come to an end come to an
Why do all good things come to an end?
Well the dogs were barking at a new moon
Whistling a new tune
Hoping it would come soon
And the sun was wondering if it should stay away for a day 'til the feeling went away
And the sky was falling on the clouds were dropping and
the rain forgot how to bring salvation
the dogs were barking at the new moon
Whistling a new tune
Hoping it would come soon so that they could die.
